Plans are well underway to bring you our best event yet, with just under six months to go until the weekend whisky extravaganza begins. Once again, we’re setting our sights high for a show to remember, and we can’t wait to share everything we have planned.

If you’re new to the Midlands Whisky Festival and wondering how it all works, below you’ll find everything you need to know, what’s included in your ticket, and the extras available. View Highlights Video >>

Six hours of festival fun – The festival spans over two days, with each generous session lasting most of the day, giving you plenty of time to explore and enjoy fine whiskies and rums without the pressure of the clock.

Access to over 400 whiskies & rum – The “meat & veg” of our festival: you’ll find over 65 producers dotted throughout the venue, each with a selection of whiskies (and rum!) for your sampling. The vast majority of tipples are included with your ticket, so you can freely roam and focus on the producers that interest you the most! View Past Dram List >>

How ‘Dream Drams’ work – The vast majority of the whiskies and rums at the Midlands Whisky Festival are included in your ticket, but Dream Drams are expressions of exceptional value that require an extra token. Your first token is on us, but extra tokens may be bought from the festival shop. Using them in unison will grant you a taste of increasingly valuable drams:

Bottle RRP of £250-£499 = 1 token (£10) per dram | £500-£999 = 2 tokens (£20) | £1,000-£1,999 = 3 tokens (£30) | £2,000-£2,999 = 4 tokens (£40)

Remember, these are rarities, so don’t hesitate if there’s an expression you’re excited to try; they may be gone later in the day! The Dream Dram list will be announced closer to the festival. View Past Dream Drams >>

Tasting Seminars – Tired of being on your feet? Located right next to the food court, these free to attend sessions offer the perfect chance to sit down, savour a few drams without the queues, and hear directly from the brilliant minds behind the brands. View Past Seminars >>

Masterclasses – These special sessions offer extraordinary insight. In the past, we’ve welcomed industry legends who share their unrivalled expertise and passion for the spirits they represent, guiding guests through deconstructions of award-winning expressions, rare releases from decades past, and bottles of exceptional value. View Past Masterclasses >>

Nickolls & Perks Shop – Found a whisky you love? We also have a pop-up Nickolls & Perks shop on-site, where you’ll find expressions from many of the festival’s exhibitors. Plus, as an attendee, you’ll have access to exclusive discounts on your purchases.

On-site food court – A long day full of spirits requires a bit of downtime. We use local small businesses to provide delicious street food, fine meats & cheeses, and even locally made chocolate! You’ll even find superb coffee to revive your spirits, so to speak. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint; regular breaks are encouraged and allow you to get the most out of the day.

All of this comes together under one roof in Birmingham this September, an unmissable weekend of whisky, rum, and discovery. With over 65 producers, exclusive sessions, and a packed festival floor to explore, there’s something waiting around every corner
